Objective:
Redesign a book cover using only typography; to communicate the subject or the story of the book.

Process:
The project began with selecting a book, I went with "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" for my redesign. After this, I conducted research on the covers currently available at the time. For the cover redesign, my goal was to capture the essence of mystery the main character has, as well as the interview aspect throughout the story. After exploring several concepts, I finally settled on the idea of a cassette made from typographic elements and a handwritten, cursive font that would simulate the ribbon of the tape. I selected the color palette due to their significance throughout the story, but also because they captured the motifs of jealousy, envy and power.
