Process:
As a group, we selected the TTC, a public transit company, to explore how it could adapt to autonomous vehicle disruption. We focused on free ad rides—a model where passengers watch ads in exchange for free transit.
I researched transit ads and PSAs from Canada and beyond, considering the TTC’s older demographic. To evoke nostalgia, I drew inspiration from Swiss design, a timeless style expected to resurge. To balance retro aesthetics with a futuristic edge, I incorporated dystopian elements in the copy.
To enhance engagement, I created a 15-second animation demonstrating how the ad could be used across social media, VR, and in-bus screens.
